DEVELOPMENT

OF PERIODIC
TABLE,
SIMILARITIES IN
PROPERTIES OF
ELEMENTS
A periodic table of element is an
arrangement of element in
increasing order of its atomic
masses.There are 118 elements in
the periodic table. The scientists
who made great contributions to
the development of the periodic
table are: Dalton, Lavoisier,
Dobereiner, Chancourtois,
Newland, Mendeleev, Ramsay and
 John Dalton
 English chemist
 Description
 John Dalton FRS was an English chemist, physicist and meteorologist. He is
best known for introducing the atomic theory into chemistry, and for his
research into colour blindness, sometimes referred to as Daltonism in his
honour.
 He is best known for his pioneering work in the development of modern
atomic theory. He was the first person to explain that everything that exists is
made from atoms.
 Antoine Lavoisier
 French chemist
 Description
 Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier, also Antoine Lavoisier after the French Revolution,
was a French nobleman and chemist who was central to the 18th-century
chemical revolution and who had a large influence on both the history of
chemistry and the history of biology.
 Discovered: Oxygen, Silicon
ASSIGNMENT
Research about the
development of the periodic
table. Be able to know the
significant contribution of the
scientist responsible for its
development and know their
claims or explanation.
CONCLUDING ACTIVITY
Just like a periodic table of
element, in life we
continuously develop for the
better and become the best
individual we could possibly
be.
