Cinema ?
 Course Objectives A

• to learn to appreciate the cinematic

language with an exposure to the best in
international cinema.
 Course Objectives B

• to study the impact of ideas, values &

culture in different parts of the world on its
cinema & vice versa
• trying to understand the changing human
condition in different parts of the world as
reflected in its cinema
Evaluation

• maintaining a journal
• journal – diary where you write your
personal responses to films u see
inside + outside of the classroom.
• evaluation of journal at end of
semester.
• critical evaluation & analysis of any
film of your choice that you have not
watched in class but prior to class
• no term-end exam.
• tests / quizzes – 20 mrks
• 30 marks – journal
