Description of standard: Housekeeping Standard for KSR Aisle-way
Principle:
Clean & tidy aisle-ways ensure a safe and orderly workplace. Cluttered aisle-ways pose a potential safety risk
through trips & falls and create waste through double-handling. Additional in case of emergency, clean & tidy aisle-
ways protect people in evacuation circumstances.
Standard
All pedestrian aisle-ways must be kept clear from any items that can cause a trip hazard. All items (brooms, shovels
etc) need to be returned to their proper place.

Assessment/Corrective action
 Assess if the product meets this visual standard. If it doesn’t, then product must be quarantined, root cause
determined and an action raised to return product to standard.
 If in doubt, call your supervisor.
