ABSTRAK
You can describe the topic the review article highlights the
henna leaf extracts and extracts of pedada fruit added to
the availability of antidandruff shampoo. The purpose of
the study was to evaluate the prefectures of each extractant
shampoo from both plants as antidandruff shampoo that
01
can treat dandruff in the human scalp of the section here.
Introduction
Indonesia is a tropical country, where heat makes hair become dirty and swollen. Such
conditions cause the scalp to peel and the roots of the hair to become weaker as well
as to fall younger. Dandruff is the skin condition in which dead skin cells occur expression,
usually white or yellowish in shape. An external factor of dandruffe is due to the lypophilic
mold of the genus malassezia, pityrosporum ovale. The internal factor of dandruff rise is the
increase in production of cemens in sebasea glands and a factor of individual vulnerability.
This dandruff treatment can be done in various ways by using extracts from fungicides
of fungal plants. As for an example of the anti-fungal plant, it's pedada fruits and henna leaf
extracts.

METHODS
Pedada fruit
The breast fruit is taken, cleaned, chopped, dried, cleaned
of unused materials, made into powder, then weighed to
determine the resulting weight.

henna leaf extract

The initial stage was collecting fresh water henna leaves.
Then fresh water henna leaves washed with running water
to remove dirt that sticks. The water henna leaves are air-
dried for 2 days, then put in the oven. The dried samples
were ground using a blender to a fine powder and then
filtered through a 65 mesh sieve.
RESULTS
Testing the manufacture of shampoo preparations from pedada
fruit extract

Organoleptic test
The results of the organoleptic test for all formulas for chestnut
fruit shampoo were brown in color, smelled of mint, and were
thick. The viscous form is obtained from CMC which is used as a
stabilizer and thickener for shampoo preparations.

Viscosity Test
The viscosity of the pedada fruit extract shampoo formula in F1
did not meet the ideal viscosity value because it was less than
2000 cps, while F2 and F3 had achieved an ideal viscosity value
of more than 200 cps.
Cycling test test
Homogeneity Test
The results of the homogeneity of The results showed that there was
shampoo formulas 1 and 2 are no organoleptic separation

viscosity is sufficient formulas

pH test
Foam Height Test pH test results for formulas 1, 2 and 3 were (5.9),
(5.8), (5.8) pH that met the requirements of
Homogeneous foam height shampoo, namely (5.0 – 8.0). The pH of the pedada
generally shows carvings of 1.3 – fruit formula is in the range (5.0 -6.0) according to
22 cm the pH of the scalp so it doesn't irritate it.

CONCLUSION

In this review, based on the results of the organoleptic test,

viscosity test, pH value test, high foam test, and antifungal
activity test on henna leaf extract shampoo preparations and
pedada fruit extract, it was concluded that pedada fruit extract
shampoo is more effective to be used as anti-dandruff shampoo.
