ABSTRACT

 Digital vocalizer is for social purpose. We are trying to implement a system

which will make the  communication gap between deaf people and hearing
people as less as possible.

 So, that we come on conclusion to make a simple prototype by taking

some of those gesture and convert it into audio and visual form .

 We are making use of arduino UNO Board as ATmega 328 Controller

board to interface all of the sensors.

 Basically an Artificial Neural Network is the concept of our prototype.

ABSTRACT
Permanent-magnet excited brushless DC motors are becoming increasingly attractive in

a large number of applications like in drilling, Lathes, Spinning, Electric Bikes etc, due

to performance advantages such as reduced size and cost, reduced torque ripples,

increased torque-current ratio, low noises, high efficiency, reduced maintenance and

good control characteristics over a wide range in torque–speed plan. The speed control of

a BLDC Motor is very essential in all these applications. Our project work will present a

comparative analysis of speed control in BLDC Motor using P, PI, PID and FUZZY

Logic Controllers. The various parameters such as settling time, peak overshoot time,

and steady state error are analysed and compared for all the controllers. The entire model

will also be simulated in Hardware/Software environment.

INTRODUCTION

• Many communication channels are available, through which Deaf-mute

people can deliver their messages, e.g., notes, helper pages, sign language,
books with letters, lip reading, and gestures. Despite these channels, there are
many problems which are encountered by Deaf-mutes and normal people
during communication.
• There are also more than 300 sign languages and it is hard for a normal
person to understand and become used to these languages .
• The above-mentioned problems can be solved by involving the assistive
technology as it can be used as an interpreter for converting the sign
languages into text or speech for better communication between the Deaf
community and hearing individuals

INTRODUCTION

• Other technologies such as speech technologies can assist in different ways

to help people with hearing loss by improving their autonomy

• As we are limited with knowledge of computer sciences and

telecommunication ,we have decided to use our knowledge of domain of
Electrical & Electronics Engineering for the making of the prototype.

BLOCK DIAGRAM

INVERTER
 The function of an inverter is to change a DC input voltage to an AC
output voltage, of desired frequency and magnitude.
 Output voltage can be varied by varying the input DC voltage,
maintaining the gain of inverter constant.
 The output voltage has a periodic waveform, which is not purely
sinusoidal.
 VSI (Voltage Source Inverter) is more widely used in industrial
application due to voltage source requirement.

BLDC MOTOR
 The Brushless DC Motor differ from normal DC motor in that it employs
electrical commutation of the armature current rather than the mechanical
commutation.
 The construction of a BLDC motor is similar to permanent magnet synchronous
motor. The polyphaser winding is placed on the stator while the rotor consists of
permanent magnets.
 The word BLDC motor is used to define the combination of motor, it’s electronic
drive circuit and rotor position sensor. The electronic drive is an inverter which
consists of transistors, which feeds stator winding.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

 The objective of our project is to test the ability of various

controllers for speed control of BLDC Motor.
 For the variable speed applications of BLDC motor,
proportional, integral, derivative motor control and their
combinations are used.
 The Controllers are said to optimize the motor parameters
such as rise time, peak time, maximum peak overshoot,
settling time.
 The results obtained by using various Controllers are studied
and compared.
