GERIATRICS- comes from the Greek word "Geron" means "old
man" and "Iatros" means healer/medicine.
AGING - pattern of life changes that occurs as one grows older.
ELDERLY- means old or aging
Gerontology- means the study of aspects of aging process.
GERONTOLOGICAL NURSING - speciality of nursing pertaining
to older adults.
