INTRODUCTION

 A hazard is anything in the workplace that has the potential to harm people.


 Hazards can include objects in the workplace, such
as machinery or dangerous chemicals.
 one of the most hazardous and accident-prone working environments is the
construction site

 Everyday construction workers are exposed to excessive construction site


dangers that could result in injury or even death.
 Situation 1: The picture shows a container that retain rain water. Standing
water is the mosquito nursery . The situation easily can spread dengue /
malaria kind diseases to the construction workers
 Solution : Empty the containers daily . Cover garbage cans to prevent water
acuumulation .
Situation 2 : The worker no
wearing respiratory protection

Solution : The worker must


wear PPE equipments such as
face mask to avoid chemical
hazard.

Respirators should
not be the first choice for
respiratory protection in
workplaces
 Situation 3 : Workers performing welding in
confined space
 Solution : Fire extinguisher must be standby beside the welder when the
operation is done to prevent fire related accidents. A fire in confined
space will be more serious than a normal fire .
A well trained alert observer must be stationed outside the space
Situation 4: Too many devices plugged
into a circuit .

Solution : Use extension cords only


when necessary & assure in
proper condition and right type of job

Situation 5 : Construction workers working
at heights without proper safety
quipments

Solution : The employe must provide


safety equipments such as Face mask ,
safety helmet .
 Situation 6: The drainage hole didn’t close properly
 Solution : The employee should cover it properly to avoid unwanted injuries
to the workers
 Situation 7 :The picture shows tasks that require awkward postures and repetitive,
high-pinch forces
 Solution : The workers should swift the body posture often to avoid work related
injury or ill
HAZARD FACTS
CONCLUSION
 In order to reduce the hazard or most critical hazard rate , the employe
should show commitment towards safety and health practices and therefore
give full priority to promote and enforce the safety and health rules in rules.

 Hierarchy of control were use in order to minimize and control the most
critical hazard that exists at the workplace

 To ensure the safety culture can be implemented in an organization.

 The management and workers have to take part in any safety and health
program and give a full cooperation when comes to safety and healt issues.
