Angle sum property of a quadrilateral :
The sum of all the angles of
a quadrilateral is 360°.
Types
  of Quadrilaterals:
Parallelogram
Rectangle
Square
Rhombus
Trapezoid
Rectangle Trapezoids

Rhombus

Square Parallelogram
Parallelogram
A quadrilateral which has opposite Sides are parallel is called a
parallelogram.
Properties of a Parallelogram:
-Diagonals Bisect Each other
-Opposite angles are congruent
-Opposite sides are congruent
-Opposite sides are parallel
How to prove a parallelogram:
1pair of opposite sides are equal and
parallel.
Diagonals bisect each other
Opposite sides are equal or parallel
Opposite angles are equal
Rectangle
A rectangle is a type of quadrilateral
that has its parallel sides equal to each
other and all the four vertices are equal
to 90 degrees.
Properties of a rectangle:
Square A square is a quadrilateral with
all sides are equal & 4 right
angles is called a square .
Properties of a Square:
Square has 4equal sides
Every angle is right
Opposite sides are parallel
Each diagonal is perpendicular
bisector of the other
Diagonals bisect each other
Diagonals are congruent
Methods to prove a quadrilateral is a square :
•If a quadrilateral has four congruent
sides and four right angles, then it’s a
square
•If two consecutive sides of a rectangle
are congruent, then it’s a square
•If a rhombus contains a right angle, then
it’s a square .
