task at hand. It uplifts you
and inspires you.
• Personal intensity, or
the underlying force
that fuels our strongest
emotions.
• Desire fills you with
energy and excitement.
It gets you up in the
morning and keeps you
awake at night.
• It heightens your performance
and enables you to achieve
things you may never have
dreamed possible.
• Synonymous with craving,
lust, passion, pursuit.
Desire is
Inherent
In you
 DESIRE can be Good or Bad
The Israelites in wilderness, an
example of bad desire.
“Now these things happened as
examples for us, that we should not
crave evil things,
as they also craved.”
(1 Cor. 10:6 NASB)
David, an example of good desire.

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I

will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the
beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple”

Desire for God

So he ran ahead and climbed
up into a sycamore tree to
see Him,
for He was going to pass
that way.
Zaccheus never gave up but
made an EXTRA EFFORT

5 And when Jesus came to the
place, He looked up and saw
him, and he said to him,
“Zacchaeus, make haste and
come down, for today I must
stay at your house.”
So he made haste and came
down, and received Him
 7 But when they saw it, they all
complained, saying, “He has gone to be
a guest with a man who is a sinner.”
8 Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the
Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my
goods to the poor;
and if I have taken anything from anyone
by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”
 9.And Jesus said to him, “Today
salvation has come to this house,
because he also is a son of Abraham;
“for the Son of Man has come to seek
and to save that which was lost.”
