WHAT IS YOUR DESIRE?

According to google
- desire is a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

Your desire is what you long for, what or whom you long to be with. Your desire is where your heart is. Your desire is your
greatest treasure and will be your reward.

Your desire is where you place your faith, hope, and love; it is where you expect that your desire will be satisfied.

And we have two types of desire

Wordly desire - your dream , wants ,, etc.
Heavenly desire - si Lord lang

Your desire is what you long for, what or whom you long to be with. Your desire is where your heart is. Your desire is
your greatest treasure and will be your reward.

Kung denisire natin ang ating Panginoon dapat makita ito saatin.

In Luke 19 : 1-8
19 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.
4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your
house today.”
6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if
I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Who is zaccheus ?
- he is a chief tax collector
- he is rich
- he is short
Isa lamang siyang chief tax collector na mayaman na hate ng tao dahil siya ay isang corrupt. ISA SIYANG
MAKASALANAN.

Pero makikita sakanya, ang wala sa iba ang DESIRE , nagkaroon siya ng desire na iseek si Jesus.

Hindi siya pumaroon sa lugar na yun dahil sa gusto niya makita kung sino ba yung taong pinagkakaguluhan ng marami,
pumaroon siya para kilalanin kung sino ba yung taong iyon.

Maraming tao doon ay gustong makita si Jesus, pero hindi gustong kilalanin.

Bago pa makita si Zacchaeus kay Jesus madaming bagay ang naging hindrance bago siya makalapit kay Jesus.

Kadalasan sa ating mga kristyano, gusto natin na mas makilala pa si Cristo pero maraming bagay ang pumipigil sa atin para
makalapit sakanya

- time
- problems
- wordly thing
- sins

Zachheus wanted to see Jesus, but there were many hindrances. At that time, he had a desire to know who Jesus was, so
he didn't allow his hindrance to stop him from seeing Jesus.
Huwag natin hayaan na pigilan tayo ng mundo na pigilan tayo para hindi makalapit sa Panginoon.

There’s one thing na gusto ng Panginoon para saatin , magkaroon ng time para lamang sakanya.

Zaccheaus put effort para mapansin ni Jesus.

Kung si zaccheaus na makasalanan, corrupt, pandak, hate ng lahat ng tao at hindi pa kilala si Jesus ay gumawa ng paraan
para makita si Jesus, kaya ba din nating maglaan ng effort para saating Panginoon?

Kung sa tao grabe tayo magbigay ng effort sa Lord pa kaya?

When zacchaeus climbed in the sycamore fig tree , hindi lang effort ang ibigay niya para saating Panginoon, nagsacrifce din
siya. Sinacrifice niya ang kanyang reputasyon, posisyon, time at ang kanyang buhay para lamang kay Jesus.

Hindi hinayaan ni Zacccheaus na pinigalan siya ng kanyang posisyon para kilalanin kung sino si Jesus

He overcame every hindrance just to get what he wanted—to see Jesus.

He was a chief tax collector; he must be wearing something out of the ordinary, but he was willing to lose his position just
to get what he wanted.

He did not allow his position to limit him;

He did not allow his pride to stop him from knowing Jesus.

He did not think of what others would think or feel about his desire to see Jesus.

HUWAG NATIN HAYAAN NA PIGILAN TAYO KUNG ANUMAN ANG MERON SAATIN PARA HINDI TAYO
MAKALAPIT SA ATING PANGINOON.

HAYAAN NATIN ANG ATING SARILI NA MAKALAPIT SA PANGINOON.

Dahil sa ginawa ni Zaccheaus na pag akyat sa puno ay napansin siya ni Jesus. Ang lang gusto lang ni zaccheaus ay makita
at makilala si Jesus , pero higit pa doon ang binalik sa kanya ni Jesus.

Luke 19: 5- 6
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your
house today. 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

Sa sobrang dami ng tao na naroon pero si Zaccheaus ang kanyang nakita at tinawag niya sa kanyang pangalan.

Jesus knows each one of us by name. He knows you, and he can recognize you even in the midst of the crowd.

Dahil sa desire ni Zaccheaus na makilala si Jesus, sinacrifice niya lahat ng meron sa kanya even his position , and all of his
money binigay niya para sa Panginoon. Pero higit sa kanyang dinisire ang ibinalik ni Jesus.

When you come to God, you get more than you expect or ask for. Because He is the God of beyond our expectations.

Kayang ibigay ng Lord lahat ng mga bagay inaasam natin dito sa mundo ng higit pa sa inaakala natin.

Hindi pa huli ang lahat para makalapit sa kanya.

Kung si zaccheaus nakapaglaan ng oras para sa ating Panginoon, kaya mo bang maglaan ng time para sakanya? Kahit na
ikaw sobrang busy? Kung nagawa ni zaccheaus , magagawa din natin.

Magkaroon tayong lahat ng desire na maging eager sa ating Panginoon.

Kasi wala na tayong ibang hahangadin kundi makapiling lamang ang Panginoon. Sa mundo ito siya lamang ang ating
gustong makasama.
