P-N JUNCTION & DIODE
A P-N junction is an interface or a boundary between two
semiconductor material types, namely the p-type and the n-
type, inside a semiconductor.
 FORWARD BIAS

A p-n junction is said to be forward biased

when the p side of the junction is connected
to the positive terminal and n side is
connected to the negative terminal of the
external source.
 FORWARD BIAS KEY POINT
•Forward points are basis points that are added or
subtracted to the spot rate which is the price quote of
a commodity.
•A forward point is equivalent to 1/10,000 of a spot
rate.
•Generally, forward points tend to mirror or reflect
interest rate disparities between currency pairs. The
