This document summarizes a student mini project on forward bias. It includes sections that define a P-N junction and diode, explain what forward bias is by connecting the P side to the positive terminal and N side to the negative terminal of an external source, lists key points about forward bias points reflecting interest rate disparities between currency pairs, shows a diagram of forward bias configuration and formula, and includes a graph of forward bias characteristics. The project was completed by 5 students for their Semiconductor Physics and Computational Methods course.

FORWARD BIAS
A p-n junction is said to be forward biased
when the p side of the junction is connected to the positive terminal and n side is connected to the negative terminal of the external source. FORWARD BIAS KEY POINT •Forward points are basis points that are added or subtracted to the spot rate which is the price quote of a commodity. •A forward point is equivalent to 1/10,000 of a spot rate. •Generally, forward points tend to mirror or reflect interest rate disparities between currency pairs.
