1.Study the social, economic, and physical context of Siargao. View

videos, do a google streetview tour of the place and location of the
project etc. to familiarize yourself with the study area. Put particular
attention to the vulnerabilities of the community to typhoons and
other disasters. Discuss also the state of the environment and existing
infrastructure in the community. Identify issues that should be
addressed when designing for the community and the study area.

• Identify issues you see in designing for the community. Formulate a
set of questions you can ask these stakeholders. Find apps or
platforms that you can use to do a hyperlocal consultation in the
community you are designing for. Search for relevant social media
groups or communities you may tap to implement the community
participation instrument that you would design.
