COMMUNICATION PROCESS

The Process of sending and receiving messages through


verbal and non verbal communication, Visual Communication ,
etc is called communication process. It consists of sender,
encoding , receiver , decoding and feedback . For example
you are talking to your friend on your cell phone you speak
something to him so the thing you spoke will encode into
signals then decode into speech on your friends phone then he
will give you reply or feedback.
FORMS OF COMMUNICATION

i. Verbal Form- Oral Communication.


ii. Non Verbal Form – Using gestures, Body language
iii. Visual- Via pictures, Logos, etc
iv. Written – Via hand writing or printed communication

• Verbal Communication – The way of communicating in which you interact orally is called verbal communication.
• Pros
• It is speed form of communication
• It is straightforward
• It is Interactive
• Cons
• Not easy to communicate to people of different language and region
• It requires proximity
• No permanent Records
NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION AND ITS PROS
AND CONS
• The process of wordless communication meaning sending and receiving wordless messages b/w people
using body language, gesture , etc.
• Pros
• Very easy to demonstrate
• Very useful to convey messages where verbal is not able to reach
• No language barriers
• Cons
• It is not suitable for lengthy messages
• It is incomplete
• Chances of misinterpretation.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION AND ITS PROS AND
CONS
• Communicating by hand writing or printing is know as written communication
• Pros
• Can be used for legal purposes
• It is a permanent record
• It gives clear statement
• Cons
• It is expensive
• It takes time
• Late feedback
VISUAL COMMUNICATION PROS AND CONS

• Communication using non verbal medium such as logos are called visual communication.
• Pros
• It can explain things which are not possible to explain through words
• It clears the barriers of languages and barriers
• It reinforces other forms of communication
• Cons
• Expensive form of communication
• Requires specialized storing
• Time consuming
