kilometers from Managua. It is easily accessible by taking the road that leads from Diriamba to the beaches of La Boquita and Casares. The Machine is located halfway up this road. The entrance is on the right and there is a sign at kilometer 58½. The reserve offers a wide variety of options for visitors. First of all, the reserve has several trails that vary in level of difficulty and length. The different paths take you to a large stone that narrates the geological history of the place, to a beautiful viewpoint with an excellent view of the surroundings, and to a walk through the tropical dry forest. There are even more attractions in La Máquina. For example, there is a beautiful waterfall located next to the entrance and the river that supplies the waterfall runs two kilometers from the reserve, which moistens the area even in the dry season. Likewise, the reserve has a restaurant at the entrance, ideal for savoring a bit of food surrounded by nature.
