II. BACKGROUND
• This research will be conducted in order to help Humanities and
Social Sciences Grade 12 students, who is not yet ready and is
currently in state of confusion of what to do after they graduate
Senior High School. Such as what course to be taken, which
university to go, and the overall experience of becoming a college
freshman, any students in this level may have the most difficult time
choosing courses and colleges; this will affect the direction of their
course choice in their future profession.
II. BACKGROUND
• Additionally, this study tackled on the cases of the readiness of the
students. There are students who do not have plans after graduating
and is not entirely bothered. Some people even decide not to pursue
higher education after graduating from high school. There are also
those who are merely unsure of their readiness for college.
III. OBJECTIVE AND METHODS
• 1) This study sets out to assess the competence and preparedness of
grade 12 HUMSS students in terms of going to college.
• 2) To examine contributory factors that may help Grade 12 HUMSS
students prepare and choose a college course.
• 3) This study aims to produce recommendations that may help
students become more competent and prepared in pursuing college
degree.

1. The majority of Humanities and Social Science Grade 12 Students are
capable of continuing their education in college.

prepared and have already decided the college degree they want to do.

necessary college readiness skills.
4. A tiny minority of Humanities and Social Science Grade 12 Students do not
