RS-485 Wiring
• 2 conductor shielded cable
° Belden 9841 or equivalent
° Preferably ran in grounded conduit away from high voltage

° L1 to L1 (Xi equivalent to A+ in RS485 half-duplex)


° L2 to L2 (Xi equivalent to B- in RS485 half-duplex)
° Shield grounded on Xi side only
 Connect shields together, BUT DON’T GROUND, when connecting
from one interface box to another
