EXCELLENCE.
• “And verily you, O Muhammad, are on an exalted standard of
character.” (Quran 68:4)
• The Prophet Muhammad SAW ‘s exemplary character entirely recorded.
• Practiced what he preached.
• Taught moral, economical, social and political laws of every sphere of
life.
• His behaviour during different phases of life an example for his followers.
• Was known as Sadiq and Ameen before his Prophet hood.
• Reference at safa.
• Abu jahl said, “O, Muhammad o do not say that you are a liar, but what
you say I do not think right”.
• The event of Roman king.

• Say (O beloved Prophet, to mankind): If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will
love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (3:31)
• Assuredly, there has come to you a (Prophetic) Messenger from among
yourselves, grievous to him is that you are overburdened, full of concern for you,
for the believers (he is) most kind, merciful. (9:128)
• Most exemplary character
• Indeed in the (Prophetic) Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for
him whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much. (33:21)
• And most surely, you have an exalted moral character. (68:4)
•  On one occasion when Lady Aisha, the truthful (God be pleased with her) was
asked about the morals and manners of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.), she replied:
"His morals are the Qur'an.".

• Humility and simplicity:
• “We sent messengers before you [Prophet] to
many communities and afflicted their people
with suffering and hardships, so that they
could learn humility.”(6:42)

• Forgiveness:
•  “And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one
like it, but whoever pardons and makes
reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah.
Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers.” (Qur'an,
42:40)
• Allah says in the Quran, "And whoever is patient
and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters
[requiring] determination." (Surah Ash-Shura 42:43)

• Fulfilment of Promises.
• In Surah Isra’ Verse 34 it is mentioned,
“And keep the covenant. Lo! Of the covenant
it will be asked.” In Surah Isra’ Verse 34 it is
mentioned,

• Generosity:
• “And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to
you in full, and you shall not be wronged.” (Quran 2:272)
• “I left a piece of gold at home which was given for
charity and I disliked letting it remain a night in my
house, so I bought it to the mosque to distribute.”
(Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
• the Prophet say, “The believer is simple and generous,
but the wicked person is deceitful and ignoble.”

• Honesty and Trustworthy:
“Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant
which they made with Allah… (Surah Ahzab 33:23)
“O you who believe! Fulfill (all) obligations.” (The Quran
5 : 1)
• Justice and equality:
• “O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm
in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against
yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich
or poor, Allah is more worthy of both.” [Quran, 4:135]

• Self- restraint and patience:During Makki and Madni life.
• Kindness and mercy:
• Courage and determination and perseverance:Our Prophet (asw) was
also at the forefront in courage.
• At a time when everyone was panicked and dispersed at the Battle of
Huneyn, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) did not step back. (Sahih al-
Bukhari)
• Ali (ra) described the courage of our Prophet (asw) as follows: “There
was no one approaching the enemy as much as he did in wars. Many
times we took refuge in the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) when the war
was heating up.”

• Hospitality.
Group Activity during the next week.
The class will be divided into groups. Each group will be given TWO of the
following qualities of the Prophet SAW .They will be asked to:
 Write at least four to five events from the life of the Prophet SAW about his
following  qualities of character.
 Humility and simplicity,
 Kindness and mercy, Forgiveness:
 Fulfilment of Promises.
 Generosity, Hospitality.
 Honesty , Trustworthiness
 Justice and equality:
 Self- restraint and patience
 Courage, determination and perseverance:
• So, all students should start finding out the events related to above mentioned
qualities of the Prophet SAW from books/internet.
