SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
SCIENCE has 3
MAJOR Branches
- Natural Science
Deals with physical world
- Social Science
Human behavior in its social and
cultural aspects (Psychology,
Sociology, History, Economics, etc.)
- Formal Science
Deals with formal systems that
generate knowledge (Mathematics,
Logic, Comp. Sci, Statistics, etc.)
Law of Inertia
An object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in
motion will remain at motion unless acted by an
external force.
The ball will not move unless acted by an external force. It
will not stop not unless there are factors to make it stop
moving.
Law of Acceleration
The heavier the mass, the larger the force is
required.
It is easier to hit a tennis ball with a bat compared
to a bowling ball that needs to be held and thrown.
Law of Action-Reaction
For every action there is always an equal and
opposite reaction.
Two skaters will went the opposite direction since
both of them are pushing against each other.
2ND LAW OF MOTION:
Law of Force/ Law of Acceleration
The second law describes the quantitative measure of force.
Law of acceleration states that “the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force
applied on the object, is in the same direction as the net force, and is inversely proportional to the mass
of the object.”
Mathematically, it is expressed as Force = Mass x Acceleration
