Duet with numerous collaborations with famous brands. For example, in 2004,
Lagerfeld accepted an offer from H&M to create a joint clothing
H&M collection. When creating the collection, Karl decided to abandon the
traditions of the Chanel fashion house, saying that the world had
already been presented with a lot of copies. He put his own personal
style into the line. The collection turned out to be laconic, in black and
white colors, and Karl was able to make it youthful, thanks to the
introduction of interesting textures and prints. Fashion critics were
delighted, and the collection became an international sensation and sold
out in a couple of days.
After the designer's death, the
Karl Lagerfeld Fashion House
announced the development of
The White Shirt Project as a
tribute to the designer. Carl once
said, “If you asked me what I
would most like to invent in
fashion, I would say: a white
shirt. For me, a white shirt is the
basis of everything. Everything
else comes after. "
