Purpose and intended audience
for the portfolio
• What will the website be used for?
The website will be used as a way konnkted (recruits IT apprentices) or other implorers to see
what work I have done in a the past and the portfolio will show that I have all the skill required for
the role. I will be using weebly to make my portfolio and in this I will have my work with links ,
videos, images and past work and there will be a main page which will have these links to other
pages to show konnkted.

Alternative ideas

1. One alternative idea was to make the menu bar a side scroll rather
then a pull down. The reason I will not be using this idea is because I
feel that a pull down bar will be easier to use / see because it will be
at the top of the screen.

2. To add the game to the portfolio page so it can be played on my

website. The reason I am not doing this is because it will be better if
the people look thought my portfolio can download my work and
have it to show others if needed.
Justify my plans

My design of my website / my digital portfolio is very simple and easy to use

this will help people / employers go over my work and have full access to me I
am about to do, with the portfolio being online it means that it can be share
easily between employers
I think that my plan are meet by what I have made because it fit all the needs
and the need that I wanted for the portfolio
Creating a portfolio
Unit 1
Info:

In unit 1 I was exploring the online world and all thing that are in or related around the
internet. In this time I use know it all ninja and over the time of uses I would take test
provided by the website to test the knowledge I had gained from learning thought it. I also
did a exam in this unit and a came out with a level pass in the exam.

Unit 2
Info:

In unit 2 I was exploring the subject of technology system and parts and components about
the computers and there inner working and uses. In this time I use know it all ninja and over
the time of uses I would take test provided by the website to test the knowledge I had
gained from learning thought it. I also did a exam in this unit and a came out with a level 1
pass in the exam.

In this unit I has asked to make a digital portfolio (basically this website) but when being
tasked with this I had to add all my work for this year so I could present my work to show
employers

Unit 6
Info:
In unit 6 I was tasted to make a graphic design for my colleges music band this included a poster and a logo made
around a theme.
6.1: I had started to research what other bands and radio stations use as designs for there stuff so it can help me o
my main goal to make some for my client.
6.2: I started to plan my graphics by making some mock ups and plans. I went to talk to the music students to ask
what they would like for there poster and logo to be themed around and what colours and other thing they may
like me to uses. After I had gone this info I made so mock designs and I made a mind map around the theme they
had asked. (LINK TO POWERPOINT HERE).
6.3: after 6.2 and the plan I crated I when to photoshop for the poster and used illustrator for the logo. As I was
working on them I kept getting feed back for the client so I could improve what I had crate so far and make it better
with feed back. When I had finish I showed the client and they told me there thought some of them wanted me to
add a little more so I went back and did but overall they were happy ( link / picture to the 2 graphics ).
 Unit 12
Info:
In unit 12 we where task with making a money converter and learn how to uses programming programs.
12.1: I was ask to discuss some programmes that had been made and talk about my thought on what could be
improved.
12.2: I was ask to plan a money converter and how it would be designed and how it would works.
12.3 I had to make the money converter and make sure it would and met me design in my plan .

Unit 14
Info:
In unit 14 where I did my piratical installation of hardware into a client computer and this in
would set balance for upgrades that could be inplemented and a time constraint.

14.1 I looked in to hardware that could be useful to add to the clients computer and what
would help them with there needs.
14.2 I started to plan my installation of the new hardware and any problems I may come
across when doing so.
14.3 I did the hardware installation and completed any other work need to be done.

In unit 17 we made a game and sway.
17.1: in this we looked over some 2D games and some sways to gather information so that
when we started to crate are own.
17.2 we started to plan are game and sway by coming up with ideas and theme for the
game and sway.

Evolution

• This detail portfolio will help me promote my skill in IT because my portfolio Is online so that it is easier
to share and the website itself have all my work displacing so that it can be seen and used by potential
employers.
• Some features that I have add is a sway that is on the website itself I have also put a link to my game
and currency convert, I have also put power point and words prestation's on to the site that can be
seen and used.
• There are some changes that I made when making my portfolio is the colour scheme because I didn’t
think the white background was very good and it made the portfolio look a little wired, so I changed it
to black. I also had to add some button that take you to other pages and is this because the built in
button to take you to other pages would not show up on the website, I have tried to solve why I won't
not show up but could find out.
• My user feedback was help full as I could see what people would think about it first hand and by doing
this, I do some constructive feedback and with this they gave there thought on what may be a good
thing to add to my portfolio so I look at what they said I sure add and I added it, ( I add some unit 1&2
power point and some hardware stuff too).
• I think one improvement I would have done is to intergrade my video game into the portfolio itself but I
didn’t do this because there the audience wouldn’t be able to download or send my game to other so
instead, I made a link to a file that houses my game so it can be shared.
