1. LATITUDE- Determines how far a place is from the equator It also determines the amount of solar
energy that a region receives and prevailing
2. ALTITUDE- The height of the place above sea level . The higher the altitude of a given place, the
lower is its average temperature.
3. LAND MASSES and BODIES OF WATER- The different heating and cooling properties of land and
water, bodies of water tend to be cooler than land during summer and warmer than land during
winter.
4. PRECIPITATION- Any moisture that falls from the air to the Earth's surface.
5. WIND SYSTEM/AIR-The unequal heating of the earth's surface causes air to move When air is
heated, it rises. Cool air gradually becomes warm and rises. So, a steady flow of rising warm air and
falling cool air takes place.

Baguio, Tagaytay. Sagada, and Canlaon City : High Altitude
Galathea Depth, Philippine Trench, and Itbayat :Low Altitude

a. Places with high altitude : The air temperature usually decreases with altitude
b. Places at low altitude : Air pressure is higher and temperatures are warmer.

Temperature normally decreases as elevation or height increases, making locations at higher elevations colder.
