Ha Long bay is located in Quang Ninh province
- the east of northern Vietnam

Ha Long bay has an area of about 1,553 km2,

including 1,969 islands,mostly limestone
islands.
02/ Geological and
biodiversity value
Ha Long Bay has outstanding geological and
geomorphological values. These include the
scientific values of regional geology, quaternary
geology, marine geology and karstic
geomorphology.

Ha Long Bay is rich in biodiversity with 2,949

plant and animal species living in 10 types of
tropical ecosystems, including 102 rare species
whose existence is being threatened, and 17 flora
species that are only found in Ha Long water.

Cuisine
Ha Long is renowned for high quality
seafood including squid, shrimp,
stomatopoda, crab, and oysters of
different kinds, among others. The Ha
Long market is one of the biggest seafood
markets in the area, which offers high
quality fresh seafood caught in the bay

Tourists can tour around Ha Long bay with reasonable
prices. They can save money because there are low-cost
hotel, restaurants and cruise tours. If tourists have a lot of
money and want to have a truly luxurious trip, there are also
five-star restaurants, hotels and luxury cruise ships.

Tourists can experience impressive moments such as watch

the survive among the rocks, islets or caves. Other choices
like: having diner in the caves and watching the sunset, or
the breathtaking view from a mountain top overlooking the
bay are also great.
