INTRODUCTION
The culture of India refers to the way of life of the
people of India’s languages, architecture,foods and
customs differ from place to place within the
country. Many elements of India’s diverse cultures
such as Indian religion etc. had a profound impact
across the world.
RELIGION &
SPIRITUALITY
* India is a birth place of
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism
and Sikkhism, etc. collectively
known as Indian Religions.
•India is one of the most
religiosly diverse nations.
• Hinduism and Buddhism are
the world’s 3rd & 4th largest
religions.
LANGUAGES
* There are many languages
as India being the multi-
religious society.
* Two official languages of
communication- Hindi and
English.
* Other languages include
Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi,
Gujrati, Urdu, Malayaam,
Marathi, Bengali, etc.
CLOTHING
* Traditional clothing in
India generally varies.
* Different parts of the
country have different
styles of dressing.
* Ex- Navwari, Mekhela
chador, Punjabi kurta, etc.
* Traditional Indian clothes
called Salwar Kameez and
Churidar.
ARCHITECTURE & SCULPTURE

Indian architecture has envolved through various ages in


different regions of the country and of great empires and
dynasties in the sub-continent.
The lion capital is of the
great emperor Ashoka,
from 200 BCE.

FOODS & SPICES

* India is known for its love for food and spices.


* Indian cuisine categories are northern, southern,
eastern, western and etc…..
* India is the worlds second largest producer of
food after China.
FESTIVALS
* India is multi-culture and multi-religious
society.
*Celebrates festivals of various religions.
*Many states and religions have different
festivals depending on the religions.
* Such as navratri, diwali, ganesh chaturthi,
durga puja, holi, rakshabandhan, dussehra &
ramzan.
EPICS
* The oldest well-known
epics of India.
-- Ramayana and the
Mahabharata
* Indian epics is centred on
the study of two epic narratives,
the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
