YEAR 9 COMMERCE
GROUP WORK
■ Students will work in groups of 4-5 and each group will be assigned one
type of business.
■ You will then fill out the research question worksheet on your laptops.
■ After this is done, students will create a business and present it on google
slides.
■ You can use the worksheet to help guide you.
■ Include images, inspiration photos and a mood board in your Powerpoint.
■ 4-5 slides.

CONSIDER:
OPERATIONS
 How is the business going to operate?
 What resources (such as equipment, technology, or facilities)
are needed to support the operations?
 What is required to deliver the products or services?

MARKETING
 What are the unique selling points or competitive advantages
of the products or services?
 What marketing channels and tactics will be utilized to reach
the target audience?
FINANCE
 What is the estimated start-up cost and ongoing expenses for
the business?
 How will the business generate revenue and ensure
profitability?
