Activities \ Learning done at company
1. Fusion 360 Software: Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D CAD, CAM, software designed
by Autodesk. It is an all-in-one product development solution that combines industrial
design, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing capabilities in a single package.
Activities \ Learning done at company
2. Engineering Drawings: Engineering drawings are a universal language that allows
designers to communicate their ideas and designs to others. We used the Fusion 360
software for the drawings of different components, gauges and fixtures.
Activities \ Learning done at company
3. Computer Aided Manufacturing: It is a process that uses computer software and
hardware to control and automate manufacturing processes. We prepared CAM for
some parts on Fusion 360 software and extracted CNC code from it.
Activities \ Learning done at company
4. LASER Marking: Laser marking is a permanent process that uses a beam of
concentrated light to create a lasting mark on a surface. Used Laser marking machine
and EzCAD to imprint the related names on different components.
Activities \ Learning done at company
5. Wire EDM: Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) is a manufacturing process
that uses a thin metal wire to cut intricate shapes and profiles in conductive materials
such as metals, alloys, and some ceramics. Used the wire EDM for practice purposes
and the manufacturing of gauges for certain components.
Impact of internship on Project Execution

The internship training proved beneficial as a undergraduate student.

By actually using the theoretical concepts, it has made them easier to
understand. The fundamental goal of industrial training was to show
undergraduates how engineering might be used in practical situations
by helping them recognise, observe, and practise these applications. It
was also an opportunity to communicate with coworkers and observe
management techniques in addition to gaining knowledge in technical
procedures.
Conclusion
During internship training, I had numerous opportunities to practically
experience and visualise metal component machining in VMC, LASER
Marking, and Wire EDM. Discovered numerous manufacturing
methods, quality inspections, and preventive maintenance. The
internship also assisted in expanding industry networks and provided
the opportunity to interact with industry professionals. Overall, it was a
valuable experience that will allow me to improve my abilities and
knowledge. This is our first exposure to the industry, and I am quite
appreciative for the opportunity.
