Acquiring jobs and skills that match one's educational
qualifications is an enormous obstacle on a worldwide basis.
Skills mismatch refers to the incoherence of the required
educational level for a specific job.
There are still a lot of Filipinos that are unemployed and
forced to apply for a job that is not inclined with their acquired
degree.
Rationale Tracer studies are important in finding if graduates’
education had prepared them well for the transition from school
to work.
In light with this, the researchers decided to conduct this
study which aims to examine:
• employment background
• their perceptions on the relevance of their selected program
curriculum
• useful competencies, and values learned in the university

Main Problem
The main objective of this research
study is to examine the employment
background of the Bachelor in
Elementary Graduates of Bohol Island
State University- Main Campus from the
years 2020-2023 as well as their
perceptions on the relevance of their
selected program curriculum, useful
competencies, and values learned in the
university that can be applied to their
employment.

Utilize the graduate tracer study questionnaire used in the tracer study of the Bachelor
of Secondary Education major in Mathematics Graduates of Bohol Island State University
Main Campus 2017-2020 conducted by Calunsag. et al, (2023).
The graduate tracer questionnaire is adapted and patterned from the Commission on
Higher Education (CHED) and from the Student Assistance and Services (SAS) office of
Bohol Island State University- Main Campus
The survey questionnaire is composed of four main parts: the general profile of the
participants, their educational background, the post-college programs they received and
lastly their employment data.
