Pavement Design for Local Roads.

4 cm 1st Layer = 4cm of Type 3 hot Asphalt.

6 cm 2nd Layer = 6cm of Type 4 hot Asphalt.
3rd Layer = 20cm of a mixture of crush rocks
and gross sand.
60% of gross sand.
20 cm 40% of crush rocks.
This layer must be compacted at 95% DMS,
according to the results of the Proctor Test for
the mix material.

Notes:
•The mixture of gross sand and crush rocks must be made in a placed near the construction site, and
NOT directly on the road, that way we are guaranteeing a correct blending of the materials before
start putting the layers and compacting.
•We need to notify SUBINCO when we start mixing the materials and constructing the road, they
will send an inspector to verify the quality of the material used for the base.
