(prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.
25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall,
because it had been founded on the rock.
26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man
who built his house upon the sand.
27 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and
great and complete was the fall of it.

WHY SOME BELIEVERS BUILD ON THE SAND?

THE SAND CANNOT STAND THE TEST THE STONE IS NOT COMFORTABLE

Jesus was speaking here of a coming storm which has got to

strike every man and every woman that’s born in the world.
There is just no way out of it. That storm will strike you
sometime or other. And depends on what kind of a foundation
that you have, whether your house will weather it, or not.

There has been many lives saved because of preparation for storms. And
there has been a many of lives lost because of failing to take heed to the
warning of storms that’s coming.

 LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO LOVE

The world's a looking for something today. When your little wife told
you she'd be your sweetheart and wife, she was looking for somebody
to love her. And when you promised your husband, he was looking
for somebody when he come in tired and weary from working all day,
some little wife to put her arms around him and kindly brush his hair
back, and tell him how much she loved him. That's what causes
separation in families, is the neglect of love. - Hear Ye Him
 LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO LOVE

This is for you young girls that’s not married (See?), and you boys. When you
meet that girl that you love, and there’s just something you know you love her,
and that’s just all there is to it, or you love him and that’s—you don’t care
whether he’s handsome, or whether he’s not handsome, or whether she’s pretty
or not pretty. That doesn’t matter. But you love them just the same. Now, you’d
better watch, kinda hold around close there, because that’s—you’re getting close
to home there. And I…it…A—a marriage based outside of that is sure to fall, or
it’ll never be successful. They’ll never be happy.

Marriage is honourable, but it should be entered prayerfully

and reverently. And genuine love for that woman will bind
you together forever. "What you bind on the earth, I'll bind in
Heaven." When you walk down the street yonder, she may
get old and gray and wrinkled, but that same love you had for
her when she was a young, beautiful woman, you'll still have
it.

You may get stoop-shouldered, baldheaded, and wrinkled-

faced and everything else, but she'll love you just like you did
when you stand with wide shoulders and curly hair, if it's
really God. For you're looking to the time when you've crossed
the river yonder, when you’ll spring back, again to young men
and women, to live together forever. That’s God's Eternal

 MARRIAGE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY

We got so many things we have to do, so much responsibility that we

have to face. Everybody has got to face a certain responsibility. When
you--when you come to--to choose your wife, to get married, or
choose your husband, you--you’ve got to take a responsibility. And
then you must remember... Maybe you build a home; it's a nice pretty
home. And then, remember, as a married woman, you got to think of
the responsibility of raising children.
RESULTS OF DISUNITY IN THE FAMILY

but the oneness between husband and wife was broken. I don’t believe there’s
any marriage can be what it ought to be without a union between husband and
wife and God. That’s right. They’ll bring up children in the world, and make
them illegitimates, give them cigarettes, whiskey, play cards in their sight, drink
liquor before them. No matter how loyal they are to their marriage vows, that’s
sexually, that’s flesh. But there’s a spirit in there, that spirit of a sinner papa and
mama, no matter how loyal to their children, will come wrong.

 MARRIAGE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY

And you got to think of them pretty, slick walls is going to have little,
dirty handprints all over them. Then you got the responsibility of
educating your children. You got the responsibility of clothing and
feeding. Everything is a responsibility. And it's so easy, when the
responsibilities face us, to shirk from them. And we find out that
marriage is a responsibility, in all manners – A man running away
from the presence of God
FAMILY DON’T PULL IN DIFFERENT WAYS

The husband and wife cannot be truly a family unless they

are one. They have to be. If they’re not, they're not a good
family--wife pulling one way and the husband another. That'll
make an awful family. But in agreement, with love one to the
other, that's a family. And now, that was God's masterpiece;
and all the true family here portrays that – The Masterpiece
 FAMILY SHOULD ALL BE ONE

Any man and his family, a correct, good, noble, obedient

family is one with another, any family And if there's
something in the family that moves them apart, then it's not
right, the family's broken somewhere. They should all be one,
father with mother, mother with father, children with parent,
parent with children, all in agreement. And, when you see
that, you'll see one lovely picture - Onness
GRACE TO KEEP THAT FAMILY TOGETHER

Just like a husband taking a wife, and saying, "If you'll be a good
woman, if you'll take care of the house, if you'll be true to me, if
you'll keep my clothes clean; if we have children, if you'll be a
mother to them; if you'll do things, I will work till my hands bleed,
to make you a living, if you'll do it.“ But then, think, what if that
woman turns wrong, lives lazy, won't work, won't do nothing? Then
it takes grace to keep that family together – The Message of Grace
