• One very effective Electronic Systems fitted on filling
grades is Project RISES. Teachers use RISES to help
keep track of grades as to find averages and calculate
Introduction percentages. The system can be used for a variety of
things in the classroom. It could be used to keep track of
students’ progress, take attendance, grade reports, and
so much more. RISES is a powerful tool for accurate
data and help accelerating submission of forms

Introduction.

It also has features of generating data from

one tab to another wherein a formula will be
keyed in and that would automatically
generate the data to the intended cells and
whatever the data encoded will be moved to
those intended cells. The use of Microsoft
Excel is a way that could help teachers in
addressing concerns on the delayed
submissions of school forms among
advisers and to eliminate erroneous entries
of students’ information and grades.
3
Objectives
The main purpose of this action
research is to address concerns on
the delayed submissions of school
forms among advisers and to
eliminate erroneous entries of
students’ information and grades.
4
METHODOLOGY
The participants of this study were the sixteen (16) advisers of Ticulon

National High School. These advisers have utilized the manual process

of filling grades ever since they became advisers. The advisers who

were the participants of this study have laptops and were able to use

excels and encode data. The advisers were both new and experienced

teachers. They would be given the same system to use.

5
METHODOLOGY

To examine the effectiveness of the intervention program, the following data

were gathered: (1) previous school forms of the students; (2) participants’ list of

noted mistakes on last reading of forms (3) Registrar’s list of teachers on the

submission of school forms where dates are indicated; and (4) feedback from

the checkers.

6
Discussion of Important Results
• Conduct of School Learning Action Cell (LAC)
When the Project RISES was introduced to our teachers through face-to-face
School Learning, expectations were asked first from the teacher-participants. They
have raised different experiences. As expected, distinct ideas came out.

After the presentation, they were asked on their perceptions about the system.
They were able to describe that the program was interesting, convenient, teacher
and environment-friendly, and helpful and would lessen their burdens in filling
out the school forms. They even emphasized that they could make use of the
program anytime and anywhere and this give them ample time to focus more on
their learners. It indicates that some burdens of the teachers were unloaded.

7
Discussion of Important Results
Teachers were overwhelmed upon learning such system
They were so excited to apply it. Before, the teachers spent
massive time to write the students’ grades in the SFs but
after introducing RISES, one of the teachers expressed
“Kagahapon ra gud ko nag sugod ug encode, karon kay nag
pa checking nako. Sauna tag binulan pa bago mahuman.
Hayahay na gyud”

8
Recommendations of the Research The over-all result shows a total mean of 4.778,

which is described as strongly agree. This finding

means that Project RISES -Revitalized Innovative

Electronic System, a tool that is very useful and easy

to use and a highly recommendable tool in quickening

the accomplishing the school forms and it eliminates

errors of entries throughout the other forms, so with,

minimizing the struggles of teachers.

Based on the gathering of feedbacks from the

Teacher-participants, they really like the system

especially that it offers a lot of features of accessibility

and conveniency in the teaching field.
