 Moldova is a tiny country.

The country is located in the southeast of Europe, on the

Balkan Peninsula. Moldova is a very picturesque country. Its green hills, villages,
tranquil lakes and huge sunflower fields are all due to the land's long and turbulent
history. The country has some of the finest vineyards in Europe.
Sorora Fortress

 On the banks of the Dniester stands the old Soroca Fortress. It rises above the cliff
with four round towers and a twenty-meter-high chapel.
• The fortress of Soroca was built as a defensive fortification against the
predatory Tatar hordes, which invaded Moldova through the Dniester
crossings. Soroca was not a large fortress with two rows of walls, like
Suceava, Chetatya Albe or Khotyn, but only a small fortification, a castle
for sheltering guards against the Tatars.
