INTRODUCTION
A knowledge-cantered curriculum is subject-based
and aims to teach students discipline-specific
knowledge and skills. Within each subject, students
learn specialized subject-related concepts.
Non-core items are considered to be peripheral ,
while core items are considered central to operations.

1 Art and Craft

• Art and craft education is important for school


children as they develop sense of creativity,
aesthetic appreciation and skill.
• Learning how to handle tools, learning how to
follow instructions, and learning how to connect
with others to create something like one.
2 Work Education

• The inclusion of socially useful and


productive work(SUPW).
• Providing children with opportunities to
participate in social and economic activities both
inside and outside the classroom, which would
help them understand scientific principles and
procedures involved in various different types of
work.
3 Peace Education

• Education for peace in its curriculum.


• The overall aim of Education for Peace is to help
build a peaceful world. 
• To do so we aim to: Understand the nature and
origins of violence and its effects on both victim
and perpetrator.
4 Life Skill Education

• Education about life skills makes the individual


able to improve his knowledge, develop values
and views, meaning that the individual knows
when and how to do a task. 
• Life skills motivate healthy behaviour and
increase self-confidence.

5 Health and Physical
Education
• Provides students with the knowledge and skills
that will enable them to achieve and maintain a
physically active and healthful life, not only
during their time in school but for a lifetime.
• The objectives of physical education are to
promote physical fitness and health, develop
motor skills and coordination.
• Yoga, games and sports.
6 Value Education

• Values education refers to the aspect of the


educational practice which entails that moral or
political values as well as norms, dispositions
and skills grounded in those values are
mediated to or developed among students.
• Helps you know what you can do, and so you
can go that extra mile.

Conclusion
Non-Core areas of knowledge work
along traditional academic skills. For
example, creative skills can be used in
academic subjects, such as Art and
Design. Non-academic skills are
associated with a range of beneficial
outcomes, such as positive self-image,
increased empathy, and reduced levels of
anti-social behaviour.
