Benefits Of Analysis:
• The development of such guestroom's analysis early in the preliminary
design phase has several important benefits.
• First, the required number of guestrooms and any necessary changes
can be studied.
• Second, a format is established so that, as the project proceeds through
the later design phases, the designers can continually analyze the
guestroom mix and maintain a precise record of the guestroom count.
• Third, details of the repetitive guestroom block can be considered at a
relatively early phase.. The interior designer can begin to analyze the
various room layouts and identify any potential problems, such as un
usually shaped rooms that might not easily accommodate the necessary
furnishings and ilmenites.
Designing steps:
Room design entails a series of
orderly steps.
The designer should establish the
following points
1. Define the lodging guest.
2. Determine the types of
guestroom beds.
3. Confirm the guestroom
dimensions,
4. Confirm the number and types
of suites.
5. Establish the interior design
budget.
Guestroom Bed Types:
• Generally, motels include a mixture
of rooms with two beds (generally
double beds), one oversized bed
(either a queen or king), and suites of
various types.
• It is uncommon in the United States
to have hotel guestrooms furnished
with single, twin, or only one double
bed, some hotels recently have
introduced oversized twin beds in
place of two double beds in order to
provide a more residential
atmosphere and to allow more room
for other furnishings.
