After receiving the goods shipped from Mill, fabrics is

stored as shown in the photo. When the line schedule is
reached, they will be taken to discharge and check.

-> Know the basic steps in importing input materials from

the factory.
If the fabric stored in bad condition will lead to damage,
should inspect the fabric within 10 days from the date of
fabric in-house, then call out to Mill if there is any defect
occurred asap.

fabric relaxing regulations:

100% cotton: 24hours
95% cotton/ 5% span: 48 hours
95% rayon/ 5% span (no washing): 72hours
95% rayon/ 5% span (washing): 24hours
80% cotton/ 20% rayon (no washing): 24hours
80% cotton/ 20% rayon (washing): 24hours

-> Understand the standard conditions for fabric conditioning

before being put into the line (spreading, cutting fabric) for
each different type of material.

Spreading fabrics

Fabric is spread in layers on the table. The worker pulls the fabric
surface to smooth it and aligns the fabric to the compartment.

-> Know that the fabric needs to have a flat surface, with no
creases, no sagging, and no stretch. It is the requirement before
cutting the fabric.

Fabric inspection

 Bulk: Inspect at least 10%/lot -> fail -> inspect more 10% ->
rate defect is high -> reject.
 100% inspection for cutting pannel
 100% go through needle detector for logo pannel

-> This is the important step, as evidence to discuss with Mill

for the replenishment if any. The worker will visual testing
under standard lighting conditions to detect the defects in the
fabric such as: hole, fly yarn, stain, barre,… and call out to us.

Inspection for color shading

 We will request Mill provide us the matching chart and then

share to factory. The factory will base on it to check to sort
out un-matching among lot# body & trim.
 Fty also makes the shade band form each lot to figure out
shade in roll/shade in lot.

Inspection for stripe fabric

For stripe items, fabric is spread in layers on the table below

the laser light to sort out the slanting issue.

 CUTTING Strictly Confidential

• Based on consumption, the pattern detail

will be applied on the fabric and ready to
cut. Fabric will be cut by automatic cutter
or hand-held cutter for small details.
• Then, worker will mark the number on
the panel to make sure the details on the
same garment must be cut from the
same lot.
