The Anglicans were founded by King
Henry VIII, King of England, in 1530.
A man of great charm and talent, was
impetuous and unpredictable in either
love affairs, politics, or religion.

He wrote a book entitled “The

Defence of the 7 Sacraments” and for
this, he was given the title of Defender
of the Faith .
What happened as to why He left the
Catholic Church?

1. Pope Clement denied his request

to divorce Catherine of Aragon his
spouse for 18 years and that she
failed to produced an heir to the
throne.
2. He fell in love with Anne Boleyn.
