Many people
believe that Print
Media is dying clue
to the easy access
information in
modern technology.
But still there are
people who are fun
reding print
materials such as
newspaper, comics,
tabloids,and
magazines.
GREAT INNOVATION OF PRINT MEDIA:
COMICS
• Contemporary comics artist who are considered successful in their
passion and these are:
Mr.Larry Alcala=Kalabog and Bosyo and
Mang Ambo.
Mr. Pol Meding Jr.= Pugad Baboy
Manix Abrera = kikomachine Romix
These contemporary comics generally shows
the current life of Filipinos by applying casual
entertainment which evokes instantaneous
laughter to convey the meaning of the jokes,
But still can identify the topical issues in pop
culture that are being addressed.
Tony velasquez is a filipino illustrator regarded as the father of tagalog comics and as the pioneer and founding father of the philippine comics industry he was the
creator of kenkoy an iconic philippine comic strip character He was born on october 29, 1910 in paco manila and passed away on 1997 at the age of 86 he first serialize
filipino cartoon strip known as mga' kabalbalan ni kenkoy' or (kengkoys antics) in 1928 that first appeared on january 11, 1929 and through a publication velasquez was
able to produce" some of the best" and "most popular" philippine comic books which are Pilipino komiks (1947) tagalog klasiks (1949) hiwaga komiks (1950) espesyal
komiks (1952) kenkoy komiks (1959) and educational klasiks komiks( 1961) (here is a picture of his iconic Philippine comic strip character Kenkoy) .
The use of Print Media
• Similar to newspaper advertisements, The
magazine also gives brands a variety of
advertisement options to choose from magazine
ads are put into 4 main categories:Display Ads,
advertorials, classifieds, and special ad
promotion.

delivered to homes, shops and

the same work. Newspaper are
also printed on thin paper with
inexpensive printing processes
such that digital equivalents offer
richer media such as high
resolution images and videos.

Books are valued items that
aren’t typically viewed as
disposable. For example,
There is a lively market for
secondhand Book is a
completely different
experience from holding a
mobile device and scrolling
through an eBook. As, some
customers strongly prefer
printed books.
