    The nasal conchae are curved bone projections from the lateral nasal wall. The inferior concha is independent while the middle concha originates from the ethmoid labyrinth and the superior is the smallest. The meatus are passages underneath each conchae. The nasal roof is formed by frontal, ethmoid and sphenoid bones containing olfactory epithelium. The floor is the soft and hard palate. The paranasal sinuses are four paired air spaces around the nasal cavity and the maxillary sinus drains into the middle meatus.
