• Balance is the keyword to a happy and successful family life. There should be balance between work, rest, and leisure.

• Recreational activities are leisure activities pursued for the purpose of enjoyment, fun, and pleasure.

• There are different types of family recreational activities. It can be indoors or outdoors , passive or active.

• The goal of recreational activities is to provide each member with satisfaction & happiness and make him/her feel
completely relaxed & happy. It further aims to make everyone become closer to each other and have family bonding.

• In planning recreational activities for the family: consider the interest of the members, available time, budget needed ,
inventory of tools and equipment needed for the activity, and the responsibility for each member of the family.

discipline.

• Provide policy information about:


o School cancellations for bad weather and other reasons.
o Emergency procedures.
o Transportation.
o After-school activities.
o Volunteering.
Get Involved

• List opportunities for parents to become involved in volunteer programs,


advisory councils, and the PTA.

• Provide sign-up sheets for parents who are interested in helping to plan parties
or special projects for your class.

o Have them describe areas in which they would like to see their
child improve.
