direction.
Acceleration refers to how fast or how quickly an object changes its
velocity.

 Acceleration
• When the velocity of an object changes, it is said to be
accelerating. Accelerating objects are objects that are changing
their velocities.
• This means that when an object gets faster, its velocity is
changing, so it is accelerating. When it gets slower, it is also
changing its velocity, so it is accelerating. When it changes its
direction, it is changing its velocity, so it is accelerating.

• No matter how fast an object is going, if it is not changing its

accelerating.
