The natural resources of water that are useful for
water supply is called water resources. Nepal is a second richest country in water resources. Here are more than 6000 Rivers are situated. The sources of water resources are; River ,lake , Pond, etc. Most of the big river of here are connected with himalayan region. Due to the huge source of water resources, there is the possibility of generating 83000 MW of hydroelectricity in Nepal Water is essential to live. It is uses in many areas like; agricultural, industrial, household, environmental activities, irrigation, etc. Nepal is second richest country in water resources, unfortunately most people in urban and rural areas suffer from scarcity of clean drinking water. There is inadequate supply of water to cope up with the increase in population in the urban and industrialized area LOAD SHEDDING IN NEPAL The reduction of power demand by a utility provider during peak or stressed time is known as load shedding. Nepal is second richest country in water resources so the possibility of energy generation is fairly high. Nepal has capacity to produce 83000 megawatt hydroelectricity since many rivers are of fast flow of nature round the year. The production of about 43000 megawatt hydroelectricity is viable from economic and technical point of view. But we are not even able to generate 1000 megawatt of energy . In Nepal, the hydro electricity produced is mainly supplied to the urban areas. Reliable energy source has not reached the villages and remote areas yet. Therefore, we are facing the problem of load shedding. Load shedding means power cut so we cant use electricity, Because of power cut we cant light a bul so we cant cook food and cant search anything in night time. Loads shedding hampers in every field to any people
