INTRODUCTION
Listening is arguably the most important skill
required for obtaining comprehensible input in one’s
first and any subsequent languages.
We listen considerably more than we read, write, or
speak.
Given the importance of listening, the natural
assumption is that listening skills are actively taught to
both first and second language learners.

conversation is playing),
students usually struggle
with the comprehension of
the material.
This situation could be
quite discouraging, for
students may feel they’re
not having a good
performance.
