Policies and Guidelines for BEED and BSED Programs
Course: FS 1
Course Description
This is the first experiential course, which will immerse a future teacher to actual classroom situation
and learning environment where direct observation of teaching learning episodes that focuses on the
application of educational theories learned in content and pedagogy courses will be made. Observations
on learners' behavior, motivation, teacher's strategies of teaching, classroom management, assessment in
learning among others shall be given emphasis. A portfolio shall be required in the course.

Course: FS 2 Course Description
This course is a continuation of FS 1. It is school based and allows pre-service student to participate and
assist in a limited actual teaching-learning activities that relate to assessment of learning, preparation of
instructional materials, preparation of bulletin boards, and other routines in the classroom. A portfolio
which will contain sample lesson or learning plans and demonstration teaching of at least one subject
content area will be required. An action research shall be encouraged to start in this course and conclude
during the internship.

Rules, Roles and Routines
Rules
• Inform the FS teacher and the RT whenever we are absent in our class.
• Read the policies and guidelines in the CS and familiarize its organizational
structure.
• Do not post pictures with our students/pupils in the CS.
• Be careful with our posts on social media.
• Avoid hugging our students/pupils.
• Make sure we understand the tasks given by our RTs.
• Submit requirements on time.
• Join activities set for all FS or those set by the department
and the university.
Rules, Roles, and Routines
Routines
• Be in the CS classroom 30 or 15 minutes before our scheduled observation.
• Report to the FS teachers’ as scheduled (once a week).
• Prepare reflections in every phase.
• Answer worksheets provided by the FS teachers.
• Seek advice/suggestions from the RT.
