Introduction
A geyser is
a spring characterized by an
intermittent discharge of water
ejected turbulently and
accompanied by steam.... The
resultant boiling of the
pressurized water results in the
geyser effect of hot water and
steam spraying out of the
geyser's surface vent (a
hydrothermal explosion).

A Geyser Consists of Four Main Parts :-
• The water tank
• A heating element
• Water Inlet and Water Outlet
• Applicable safety systems

Circuit Diagram Working Principle
Working of water geyser is not
much different from an immersion
rod that you can dip into the water,
plug into the power socket and
have the water heated up. The
only difference is the level of
sophistication and slight
automation in the geyser.
The geyser consists of a water
tank fitted with two pipes.
One is for water intake and the
second one for the outlet of hot
water. the water tank is fitted with
heating elements that are
controlled by thermostats, which
control the hotness of water. And
to protect from heat loss, the
tank is covered with insulating
material.

Geysers are
used for various activities such
as electricity generation, heating and
tourism. ... Since the 1920s hot water
directed from the geysers has been
used to heat greenhouses and to grow
food that otherwise could
not have been cultivated in Iceland's
inhospitable climate.

Future scope
The report finds that net savings
to the electricity system as a whole
could
be $ 200 per year per heater – some of
which may be passed
on to its owner – from enabling
these tanks to interact with
the grid and engage in a number
of unusual but hardly unprecedented
feats.
One example would be “thermal storag
e,” which involves heating water at night
when electricity costs less, and thus
decreasing demand on the grid
during peak hours of the day.”
