A wide range of lighting technologies and components for commercial, industrial, residential and
urban applications were presented in the Expo. The Government of Bangladesh has also
encouraged Lighting energy saving products and has also previously declared the Light
Engineering Industry as one of the most priority sector in the country.

This expo was a perfect B2B networking platform to target the Lighting industry of Bangladesh
and launched new products, expanding market and sales with important buyers and form
strategic partnerships with Local Importers, Agents and retailers.
Bangladesh's had world's seventh fastest growing economy with a rate
of 7.3% real GDP annual growth in recent years. The financial sector of
Bangladesh is the second largest in the subcontinent. The lighting sector
in Bangladesh has consistently boomed over the years, and one of the
major contributing factors to this is the large domestic market demand.
It is seen that export of this sector has been growing over the years. The
SME Foundation has identified 31 light engineering clusters located in
18 districts of Bangladesh with about 7,500 enterprises. In the Industrial
Policy 2016, Light Engineering sector has been considered as one of the
Highest Priority Sectors. Several facilities, including cash and investment
incentives, would be provided to facilitate the Light Engineering sector
of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is urbanizing fast. By 2030, 48% of the population will
live in towns and cities. Most will be young, energetic and digitally
connected. They will be agile, receptive to new ideas and look for
new ways of creating wealth. The country is quickly moving to a
high-value, knowledge-intensive society. This involves people have
taken risks and faced challenges by becoming more innovative and
adopting newer technology. It is time that global investors, invest in
Bangladesh in areas like, light engineering and electronics.
Furthermore, At least 300 light engineering industries are spread
across Jessore. Thus, investing in this growing sector must be
recognized as a good decision.
 INAUGURATION CEREMONY& EVENT GLIMPSE

4th Dhaka International Lighting Expo 2022’ that ran at the

International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka the
Opening ceremony was held at the International Convention City
Bashundhara (ICCB). Chief guest on the occasion was H.E. Nurul
Majid Mahmud Humayun, M.P, Hon'ble Minister of Industry Ministry,
Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Md. Abdul
Kayowm Sarkar, Chairman, Bangladesh Food Safety Authority
(BFSA), and Dr. V. M Thomas Chairman of Chennai Fertility Center
and Research Institute also attended as a special guest at the
exhibition. Furthermore, present from CEMS-Global were Ms.
Meherun N. Islam - President & Group Managing Director and Mr.
Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Executive Director.

• The pavilion will be provided at 1,50,000/= (36 Square Meter)-
Regular price is 4,68,000/= for 36 Square meter space.
• The cost of preparing the pavilion is not included ( Approx.
5,00,000/- taka is charged for a standard pavilion.
