COLOR
WHAT IS COLOR / COLOUR?

A phenomenon of light and visual perception


that may be described in turns of an individual
perception of hue, saturation, and lightness for
objects, and hue, saturation, and brightness for
light sources
DIMENSION OF COLORS
HUE: One of the three dimensions of SATURATION: One of the three
color. the property of light property dimensions of color. the purity or
the color of an object Is classified as vividness of a hue. Also called
being red, yellow, green, or blue, or an Intensity.

BRIGHTNESS: the dimension of a


color which is correlated with

COLOR WHEEL
A color circle, based on red, yellow and blue, is
traditional in the field of art. Sir Isaac Newton
developed the first circular diagram of colors in
1666. Since then, scientists and artists have studied
and designed numerous variations of this concept.
Differences of opinion about the validity of one
format over another continue to provoke debate. In
reality, any color circle or color wheel which
presents a logically arranged sequence of pure hues
has merit.
