USE
 MUST:is used to give orders or express a moral obligation of the person speaking or
ordering (se usa para dar órdenes o expresar una obligación moral de la persona que
habla u ordena)
 You must be back before midnight
 Debes estar de vuelta antes de media noche
 She must respect her parents
 Debe respetar a sus padres
 HAVE TO: indicates that the obligation comes from external norms, a third person or a
circumstance(indica que la obligación viene de normas externas, una tercera persona
o de una circunstancia)
 You have to complete all the book before the test
 Tienes que completar todo el libro antes del examen.
Structure

 MUST:
 affirmative sentences: Subject + must + verb (infinitivo).
 Negative sentences: Subject + must not (mustn't) + verb (infinitivo).
 interrogative sentences: must+ suject + verb

 HAVE TO:
 affirmative sentences: subject+ "have to" + verb in infinitive without "to“
 Negative sentences: subject + "do not/does not" + "have to" + verb in infinitive
without "to“
 interrogative sentences: "do/does" + subject + "have to" + verb in infinitive
without "to"
