 METHOD STATEMENT

1. Conduct survey/layout of column foundation with the land surveyor.

2. Installation of column rebar,
• Erection of scaffolding/working platform around the column.
• For conventional, manual lifting of each vertical rebar for splicing and for the rebar
ties(first splice of vertical rebar 12.00 m high from ground).
• For Pre-assembled rebar columns, it will be lifted by crane/boom truck.
• Use of sag rod to prevent swaying/falling sideward of rebar column and tied up
with anchor block.

 3. Formworks installation at 2.4m high(1st lift) at C2’A’/C2’B’/C1’A’/C1’B’/C3A/C3B.
• Installation of scaffolding/working platform around the column.
• Prefabricated column form will be lifted by crane in every column.
• Insert of other forms such as tie rod , wing nut, double waller and shoring etc.

 4. Q.A./Q.C. inspection with the fives FCB representative.
5. Execution during pouring,
• Pumpcrete /Crane and bucket will be used to pour concrete.
• Use of concrete vibrator while pouring.
6. Dismantling of formworks and proper curing of concrete at required time using
burlap sack with water covered by sheet.
7. Backfilling of the whole area up to the required finished level.
• Compaction will be done in every 20cm/layer.
• Use of good backfilling material approved by FCB fives.

 METHOD STATEMENT
8. Erection of scaffolding/platform/access for 2nd lift column preparation.
9. Formworks installation of 2nd lift of column.
• Prefabricated column form will be lifted by crane with two parts in every
column(maximum of 3m in height).
• Other formworks will be installed one by one.
• Shoring of columns and necessary scaffolding/working platform support/access.
• Use of A-frame(other formworks material) to support column.
10. Reinforcement for 2nd column will be installed after completing the pouring of 1st
level column.
• Other rebar will be lifted by crane for the pre-assembled rebar.
• Use of concrete cover and other materials to maintain spacing/covering between
rebar and formworks.
11. Inspection by fives FCB representative before pouring to check the quality/quantity
of rebar and formwork.
12. Use of crane/bucket or pumpcrete for pouring.
13. Dismantling of formworks and proper curing of concrete at required time using
burlap sack with water covered by sheet.
• For high/heavy forms to be dismantled, we will used crane to lift down materials.
14. Conduct proper housekeeping at all times.
