3.3 Card-sized I/O Specification


 The Card-sized I/O can be used as operation board I/O or electric cabinet I/O.
The connector PCB for the card-sized I/O is provided by machine builder.
 The card-sized I/O powers (+24V and +5V) must be supplied from external power supplies

 Card-sized I/O doesn't have rotary switch for setting a channel number. Connect
SEL1~SEL3 signal pins of connector CF30 to +5V or 0V on base PCB

4. Connection of Manual Pulse Generator


 Up to two manual pulse generators can be connected.
 5V power supply type connect the F023/024 cable,
 12V power supply type connect the F320/321 cable to "MPG" on operation panel I/O.

6.1 Maintenance (exchange of fuses)


Fuses are mounted on Control unit and Keyboard unit respectively.
Please exchange fuses when the following phenomenon occurs.
(1) Control unit
NC doesn’t work and “24VDCIN” LED ON though 24V is normally supplied.
(2) Display unit
Machine panel doesn’t work normally, and “FUSE” LED OFF and “24VON”LED ON

6.2 Maintenance (exchange of battery)


One battery is mounted on Control unit. Please exchange battery
when the following phenomenon occurs.
(1) “BATALM”LED lights and “BATTERY ALARM” appears on the

display.
(2) Parameter (SRAM data) is broken
※Attention 52 BATTERY ALARM
a) Backup the SRAM data before exchange of battery
b) Control unit power turn off
c) Replace the battery within 30 minutes after turn off the power

6.3 Attention by cable connecting


Please note the connection of the cable because the shape of three connectors are same.
(Especially, when the cable for SKIP is done another connector in, it causes the substrate
damage.)

6.4 Basic Operations for Maintenance


Unlocking the Password Key Lock
The functions and screens that cannot be operated by the user are locked with a password
key, and normally cannot be used

Releasing the Key-lock


Follow the below procedure to unlock the key. Once the key-lock is released, the key is
remained unlocked until the power is turned OFF. When the power is turned ON again, the
key will be automatically relocked

(1) Select [DIAGNOS] and [VERSION].

(2) Press the menu selection key , and press keys in the order of

Following the operation above, the [Hidden] screen menu will appear when the menu selection
key is pressed

6.5 Normally (locked with password key) Prohibited Operations

6.6 Backing up the Saved Data


All the data stored in SRAM, the data indicating the customer's machine conditions can be
backed up by data input/output on NC screen.

Media for backing up the saved data

The available media for backing up the saved data is a CF card only (NC's front side slot).
Use a CF card via the NC's front side slot to back up the data

Backing up the saved data


1) Press the screen selection key until the menu in the figure below appears, and select
[DATA I/O] from the menu

(2) Input / Output the data via the screen below.

(3) Press the [CARD] menu.


(4) When the [DIR. SELECT] menu is pressed, the folders in the selected drive are displayed
in the [SELECT DIRECTORY] window. Choose the folder to input/output data.
・ When a folder is newly created, directly input a folder name using the keys.

The selected folder name is displayed in <<DIRECTORY>> on the right side, when [OK]
is clicked or when <INPUT> is pressed.

(5) Select [NC->CARD SAVE], and select the data to output.

(6) Selecting the program file


Press the [SELECT ALL] menu and press <INPUT>. And then, all the program files are
displayed in the program area on the upper left.

(7) Selecting the other data
Use the down arrow key to move the cursor from PROGRAM area to OTHER DATA area .
Press <INPUT> to select and highlight all the items.

(8) Press the [START] menu to start copying.


The output status is displayed sequentially in the selected directory column on the right side.
The copy is completed when the directory column becomes the same as [NC] on the left side

6.7 Restoring the saved data


Follow the steps (1) to (5) in the previous section to set the CF card's folder name.
(6) Selecting the backup data
Select [CARD CONTENT] and [START] from the menu. And then the contents of the selected
folder are listed on the right side column.

(7) Loading the selected data


When the [NC<-CARD LOAD] and [START] menu are pressed, the selected data is loaded to NC.
The output status is displayed sequentially in the [NC] column on the left side. The loading is
completed when the NC column display becomes the same as the CF card directory column on
the right side.

6.8 Backup/ Restore the Ladder

The ladders stored in the NC's FLROM can be output to external medium by ladder monitor.
The ladders stored in the external medium can also be input to the NC's FLROM.

6.8 LADDER Backup Procedure.

Step 1. Release the Key-lock .

items are being selected, Step:6 - Input the project name to save.
and select [WRITE] -Execute [SAVE].

LADDER Restore Procedure.
Step 1. Release the Key-lock .
Step 2: Press LADDER MONITOR menu

6.9 Initializing the Data


(1) Turn the NC power ON.
(2) Press the screen selection key until the following menu appears. Select the [DIAGNOS]
and [DATA ERASE] menu.

(3) Using the arrow keys and INPUT key, enable the initialization of all data on the displayed window
(highlight them in light blue).

(4) Follow the message under the data selection field, input "-9999" and press the INPUT key.
The initialization is completed when the DATA ERASE window display disappears.

6.10 Initializing the programs

The initialization procedure of the area where the machining program is stored is shown below
.
(1) Turn the NC power ON.

(2) Press the screen selection key until the following menu appears. Select [PROGRAM]→
[PROGRAM FILE]→[PROGRAM ERASE] from the menu.

(3) Select (Highlight) [ALL ERASE] from the menu. Using the operation board keys, input "-9999" and then
press the INPUT key. Initialization of the programs is completed when the highlighted display of [ALL
ERASE] returns to the normal display.

6.11 Erasing the Memory


The procedure for erasing the SRAM is described
below
.
(1) Set the NC rotary switch 2 [RotSw2] to "C". Keep
the rotary switch 1 [RotSw1] at "0".
(See the right images.)

(2) Turn the NC power ON. The seven-segment LED 1


(on the right side) changes as shown below.
The procedure is completed when "Y" appears.

(3) Turn OFF the NC power.

(4) Return the rotary switch 2 to "0".

6.12 Data with Special Operations
Setting the date and time
(1) Select (Highlight) [DIAGNOS] -> [ACCUMU.TIME] to open the [ACCUMULATED TIME] window.

(2) Move the cursor to [DATE] using the cursor keys.

(3) Input the date to be set, and then press the INPUT key to complete the setting.

Example: January 1, 2000

(4) Set the time in the same manner.
