Introduction

• Nowadays Google Maps has made it very easy for every Business owner or an
organization to pin or upload their business landmarks.

• For a non-disabled person, it's very easy to access the location as well as to visit and
make use of all the facilities. However, for a disabled person its quite tough to access
the location according to his need.

• Developing a portal and an application where business owners can mention all the
facilities provided by them.

• Developing an application which could be easily handled by a disabled person by

providing voice instructions.

Motivation
• According to the World Health Organization, approximately 15% of the total
population has some disability, this population is large and rapidly increasing.

• Like common people, disabled people also deserve to live life independently and fully.
To live this independent life, it is necessary to have access to public places.

• It is also necessary to get to know that the disabled person has access to all the
facilities they need when they visit public places.

• By choosing a web-based project we can reach to large audience. Anyone having a

mobile phone can get that website and easily find out the place. A web-based project is
relatively less expensive. Its development and maintenance costs are less.

6
Problem Statement
• Apps like Ola, Uber, Zomato, Swiggy & Google maps showing taxi locations,
restaurant locations and restaurants, filling stations, hotels respectively.

• But today a disabled person is unable to browse and identify nearby locations
having accessibility features.

• There is no centralized web portal or app for storing of information on

accessible Offices/ buildings/ departments/ public places

• Even there is no platform where restaurant owners, film hall owners, hotel
owners etc. can register and declare that their properties which are accessible.

• The People with disabilities cannot be filtered and shown by any means some
places which where they want to go in day to day life like offices, restaurants,
bus stops, railway platforms, schools, cinema halls etc.
7
Scope & Objective
• Aimed at enhancing the accessibility and convenience of handicapped individuals
when visiting different locations.

• Application will serve as a reliable guide, offering navigation assistance,

accessibility ratings, and detailed facility information.

• By creating a bridge between users and businesses, the project aims to encourage
the improvement of accessibility features, ultimately contributing to a more
inclusive and accommodating environment for handicapped individuals.

Requirement Analysis
•User Requirements: Identify and understand the needs of disabled individuals,
caregivers, establishments, and administrators.

•Functional Requirements: Implement user registration, establishment registration,

location data integration, recommendation system, search and filters, reviews, and
accessibility certification

•Non-Functional Requirements: Ensure performance, security, scalability, usability,

reliability, and compliance

•Integration: Utilize Google Maps and Firebase for essential features.

•Legal and Ethical: Comply with data protection laws and content moderation

•Testing: Conduct unit, integration, and accessibility testing.

11
•Feedback: Implement a user feedback mechanism.

Conclusion
• There are 2.68 crore (26.8 million) people suffering from any kind of disability in
India, which is around 2.21% of the total population.

• Through this product, we want to give a helping hand to these people who are
seeking help. Our product would prove best for disabled and blind people to travel
to their selected place with ease and comfort.

• Through this revolutionary project, we want to encourage young India to move a

step forward towards the research and development for enhancing this system to
help as many people as we can. We want to go forward for all humans whether
they are abled or disabled.

Future Work
•Accessibility Information : Provides details on wheelchair ramps, accessible
restrooms, and parking at user-chosen locations.
•Partnerships with Local Businesses : Establishes partnerships for discounts and
promotions, benefiting both users and businesses.
•Collaboration with Advocacy Groups : Partners with disability advocacy groups for
feedback and wider promotion. Expands user reviews.
• Multilingual Support :Expanding from English to include multiple regional languages
for broader accessibility.
• Platform Expansion Currently available on Android, with plans to launch a web
version for a wider user base.
