Emotions

Pre-task: We’ll talk about emotions

 Are you happy?


 Do you think a person can be happy all the time?
 Do you think happiness is a permanent state or it comes in moments?
 What things make you happy?
 Do you think the weather affects our mood? How?
 What other external factors can affect our mood? (the news, food we eat, social media, temperature, lack of
sleep, etc)
 Do you express how you feel or do you keep it for yourself?
 What is one of your happiest moments?

 How do you react when you’re angry? Do you swear? Cry? Shout?
Task: We’re going to watch a video about feelings and
emotions.

1. Watch the video carefully.


2. Write down some of the feelings and emotions that they mention.
3. Write a “list” of things we can do to identify our feelings.

After task: So, here’s a list of different emotions they mention
in the video. How often do you feel them?

- Annoyed / annoyance - Angry /anger


- Anxious / anxiety - Disappointed / disappointment
- Nervous /nervousness - To feel overwhelm (abrumado)
- To feel worn out (extremely tired) - Frustrated / Frustration
- Stressed /stress - Free / Freedom
- Proud of yourself - Euphoria
- Excited /excitement
What can we do to understand our emotions?

Step 1: Take a deep breath and observe what’s happening in your body.
Step 2: Try to label all the feelings you’re having.
Step 3: Grade the level of intensity of these emotions on a scale of 1 to 10.
Step 4: Communicate what’s going on/how you are feeling to people around
you.
