Fluency refers to speak continuously without
stopping, and coherence means organizing speech in
a logic way (do you speech flow? can be easily
understood?)

LR refers to use words which are varied and


appropriate for the subject (S-V agremeent , wide
range of vocabulary in your speech)
GRAMMATICAL RANGE &
ACCURACY AND PRONUNCIATION
GRA refers to the use of correct grammar and
variation of grammatical usage (do you use a wide
range of sentence structure? Your grammar accurate
when you speak?)

Is your spoken language clear and easily


understood? Or do you use stress and intonation to
add extra meaning?

Task Time Task Description

Part 1 – Introduction and 4-5 minutes The examiner introduce him/herself and confrims the
Interview candidate’s indentity by asking question about the
candidate. Next, the examiner asks the candidate
about general topic. (ex. Study, hometown, sport,
film, music, leisure time,etc).

In this part, you will get 5 until 8 general questions with the same topic.
Exampel:
1. Do you work or are you a student?
2. Is that a popular subject in your country?
3. What are the most popular subject in your town?
4. Why did you choose that university?
5. What are your favorite subject at university?

Task Time Task Description

Part 2 – Individual Long turn 3-4 minutes The examiner asks the candidate to speak for
minimum 2 minutes on a particular topic. Before
starting, candidate will get a card and he/she has 1
minute to prepare . The examiner asks one or two
questions after your presentation.

OK, so you asked me to talk about an achievement I'm particularly proud of, so I could have talked about when I passed
my driver's license test, or when I bought my first car, but in the end, I decided to talk about the only time I actually
won a sports tournament.

Only once did I win my village chess tournament. It was when I was sixteen years old. It was particularly difficult
because, to be honest, I'm not a great chess player and I always played mainly to have fun and not really to win. But that
one year I decided. I made it my goal: I was going to win the village chess tournament. So I played many games,
lots of them against older players, much older than me, who were members of the club, in their fifties, and it was
very difficult. Playing older players is always tough. They have more experience, they do all these impressive
tricks and they definitely know how to beat their opponent. And on top of that it's very much a matter of pride
for them - they don't want to lose against one of the younger members of the club.

But anyway, I won a few games against older players and then I ended up playing the final against my best friend. And
that was another difficulty. He was my best friend so I didn't want to play it too mean with him but at the same
time I wanted to win. At least the fact that he was my best friend meant that I knew exactly how to beat him, though,
because I had played against him many times before. We had a very long game and it was nerve-wracking. It wasn't very
good game but in the end I won.

I'm very proud of my achievement because I managed to reach the goal I set for myself and it was something that

discussion of a more abstract topic related to the topic
on the card in part 2.
